I just got done watching Dancing With the Stars. Do I watch a lot of ‘reality television”… not really. Truth is, I usually watch television when I want to take a brief vacation from reality. (I’ve never seen Big Brother, Survivor, The Mole, Fear Factor or The Amazing Race.) But I do like Dancing With the Stars; I like American Idol, and of course I watch Nashville Star (in spite of the fact that it really hasn’t been all that good the past few years). And, I even saw a few episodes of the first two years of Gone Country. Now, give me a minute to convince myself these are not ‘reality television shows’ … they’re talent shows, right? Right. (OK, now that I got that out of the way, I’ll get on with tonight’s post.

Julianne Hough, professional dancer, country singer and girlfriend of Chuck Wicks, got sent home tonight. But she already has two Dancing With the Stars trophies, and probably didn’t mind heading home. And, since she’s done dancing for this season, that will give her plenty of time to enjoy Thanksgiving with her family, pack her bags, and head to Knoxville, Tenn., where she will be the Grand Marshall in this year’s annual Christmas Parade. This is the 35th year for the WIVK (radio) Christmas Parade, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5.

If you aren’t going to be in the Knoxville area on Dec. 5 to catch Julianne in the parade, She will be at the Atlanta Peach Drop in Atlanta, Ga., on Dec. 31; Meyer Theater in Green Bay, Wisc. on Jan. 15; and Pleasant Run Resort Center in St. Charles, Ill on Jan. 16. Be sure to go to her MySpace page for more tour dates.

Chuck Wicks Biography

Chuck Wicks was born June 20th, 1979, which makes him 29 years old. He was raised on a potato farm in Delaware before he moved out on his own to pursue country music in Nashville, TN. RCA Records caught wind of his songwriting skills, and signed him up for a contract in 2007.

After participating in the very short reality series, “Nashville,” which lasted only two episodes, Chuck Wicks had a hit song with, “Stealing Cinderella.” The song was the biggest debut of any country artist in 2007. He is still considered an up and coming talent.

Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks met while touring with Brad Paisley this past summer. They were “work-out buddies,” and ran up and down stadium stairs to keep fit. Chuck Wicks recently broke up with his girlfriend, presumably in order to be with the adorably perky dancer.

Let´s view the best youtube videos of Rolling Stones. I hope you like the selection:

Shine A Light - Movie trailer

And let´s learn something about them:

Wikipedia says:

The Rolling Stones are an English rock band. The band formed in 1962 in London when original leader Brian Jones and pianist Ian Stewart were joined by vocalist Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, whose songwriting partnership later contributed to their taking the leadership role in the group. Bassist Bill Wyman and drummer Charlie Watts completed the early lineup. Ian Stewart was removed from the official lineup in 1963 but continued to work with the band as road manager and keyboardist until his death in 1985.

The band’s early recordings were mainly covers of American blues and R&B songs. After first achieving success in the UK, they became popular in the US during the “British Invasion” of the early 1960s. Their 1965 single “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” established The Rolling Stones as a premier rock and roll act. Starting with their 1966 album Aftermath, the songs of Jagger and Richards, aided by the instrumental experimentation of Jones, expanded an always-present stylistic flexibility. Jones died in 1969 shortly after being fired from the band and was replaced by Mick Taylor. Taylor recorded five studio albums with The Rolling Stones before quitting in 1974. Former Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood stepped in and has been with the band ever since. Wyman left the Rolling Stones in 1993; bassist Darryl Jones, who is not an official band member, has worked with the group since 1994.

The Rolling Stones have released 22 studio albums in the UK (24 in the US), eight concert albums (nine in the US) and numerous compilations; and have sold more than 200 million albums worldwide.[1] Sticky Fingers (1971) began a string of eight consecutive studio albums that charted at number one in the United States. In 1989 The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2004 they were ranked number 4 in Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Their image of unkempt and surly youth is one that many musicians still emulate.

—————

I´m always searching good games for mac, but I rarely get to find a good site. However, 10 minutes ago I was a little boring having a coke and surfing Internet and I suddenly run into a site with a great compilation of mac games. Maybe you can easily find good site with PC games, but it´s hard to find a site with good Mac and PC games, both in same web site.

I also recommend mac solitaire and Hidden object games for mac.
